Expensive Fun

Video Gaming is an expensive hobby, but it ain't nothing compared to golf.  I'm sure Lady Karma would prefer me being with "the other woman" (nickname for my XBox One) in the man cave instead of the golf course.

Destiny was recently voted the most expensive video game in history.  I'd say it was worth every penny I spent on it...so far.  That's how they get us nowadays.  We buy the games on the night they are released for a minimum of $59.99, then we buy the expansion passes.  Destiny is a game that was designed to be the gift that kept on giving.  If you want it to keep giving, you'll have to keep paying.

Although I am not exhausted from this game yet, I have been playing a bit of Far Cry 4.  Its predecessor was a good enough game to garner enough interest in investing in the fourth installment.  It is rare that I would be caught between two first person shooter games, but I guess that's what happens when that is the only thing interesting out there to play.

It's pretty hard to be an online gamer when you have two daughters sleeping in the next room. There have been plenty of occasions where I would be playing with other people online and one of my daughters starts crying in the other room.

I'm approaching an era in my life where video gaming is something I'm going to have to work harder to keep up with.  It's getting more and more pricey and more and more time consuming.  But I still love it...
